Shakira Confirms She’s Expecting Her First Child With Gerard Pique
Hip-shaking Shakira has something to sing about: she’s expecting her first child with boyfriend Gerard Pique.
The 35-year-old posted on her website that she and 25-year-old footballer ’are very happy awaiting the arrival of our first baby’.
She has also revealed that she has decided to cut down on her work schedule over the coming weeks.
The Colombian singer is postponing promotional activities and will not perform at iHeartRadio Music festival in Las Vegas.

Purpose of Group Discussion
A Group Discussion can be defined as a formal discussion involving ten to 12 participants in a group. It is a methodology used by an organization to gauge whether the candidate has certain personality traits and/or skills that it desires in its members. In this methodology, the group of candidates is given a topic or a situation, given a few minutes to think about the same, and then asked to discuss the it among themselves for 15-20 minutes.Group Discussion’s are generally divided into the following parts
Introducing the topic and purpose of the discussion
Introducing yourself and the other speakers
Making sure all members have approximately the same time to speak
Thanking group members for their contribution
Being objective in summarizing the group’s discussion and achievements.
Here are some of the personality traits that Organization can assay in a candidate through Group Discussion.
1. Team Player
It is essential for managers to be team players. The reason: Managers always work in teams. At the beginning of his(manager) career, a manager works as a team member. And, later, as a team leader.
2. Reasoning Ability
Reasoning ability plays an important role while expressing your opinions or ideas at a GD.
3. Leadership
A leader would have the following qualities:S/he shows direction to the group whenever group moves away from the topic.
S/he coordinates the effort of the different team members in the GD.
S/he contributes to the GD at regular intervals with valuable insights.
S/he also inspires and motivates team members to express their views.
4. Flexibility
You must be open to other ideas as well as to the evaluation of your ideas: That is what flexibility is all about. But first, remember: Never ever start your GD with a stand or a conclusion.
5. Assertiveness
You must put forth your point to the group in a very emphatic, positive and confident manner.
Participants often confuse assertiveness with aggressiveness.
Aggressiveness is all about forcing your point on the other person, and can be a threat to the group. An aggressive person can also demonstrate negative body language, whereas an assertive person displays positive body language.
6. Initiative
A general trend amongst students is to start a GD and get the initial kitty of points earmarked for the initiator.
But that is a high risk-high return strategy. Initiate a GD only if you are well versed with the topic. If you start and fail to contribute at regular intervals, it gives the impression that you started the GD just for the sake of the initial points. Also, if you fumble, stammer or misquote facts, it may work against you.
Remember: You never ever get a second chance to create a first impression.
7. Creativity/ Out of the box thinking
An idea or a perspective which opens new horizons for discussion on the GD topic is always highly appreciated. When you put across a new idea convincingly, such that it is discussed at length by the group, it can only be positive. You will find yourself in the good books of the examiner.
8. Inspiring ability
A good group discussion should incorporate views of all the team members. If some team members want to express their ideas but are not getting the opportunity to do so, giving them an opportunity to express their ideas or opinions will be seen as a positive trait.
9. Listening
Always try and strike a proper balance between expressing your ideas and imbibing ideas.
10. Awareness
You must be well versed with both the micro and macro environment. Your awareness about your environment helps a lot in your GD content, which carries maximum weightage.
Voicing your opinion and using effective arguing techniques are valuable skills. You may have a great idea, but you need to communicate it effectively and support it. Confidence is the key.

Kim Kardashian And Kanye West Combine For 17 BET Hip Hop Awards
BET announced nominees for the 2012 Hip Hop Awards today and it wasn't a surprise to see Kanye West lead the pack!
With 17 nominations, Ye' CRUSHED several other big names includingMercy collaborator 2 Chainz (nominated for 13), Drake (11), and Tupac(none) — the rapper died 16 years ago today, rest his gangsta soul.
Kim Kardashian might not be directly responsible for Kanye's success but you better bet your Lamborghini Murciélago she inspired more than a few of his tracks!
Kanye's partner in crime Jay-Z also frequents the list and something tells us they'll take home more than one or two trophies.

Hey, have you heard? I think it was the HP Intel Challenge tonight on Project Runway Season 10. Oh yeah, that is right...it is the HP Intel Challenge on Project Runway 2012 because I think Tim Gunn said HP Intel like 1,000 times in tonight's episode. Anyone agree? Well, the designers created their own fabric and made their looks for the runway and Tim said someone's design looked like "an homage to a menstrual cycle." President Obama Reply's Nicki Minaj's Romney Endorsement
Everyone probably assumed Barack Obama would be getting Nicki Minaj's presidential vote (if she was registered, at least), but a verse on Lil' Wayne's Mercy said otherwise.
During a radio interview on Monday, Obama was asked about the Nicki Minaj's Mitt Romney endorsement and responded by saying: "I'm not sure that's actually what happened. I think she had a song on there, a little rap that said that. But she likes to play different characters. So I don't know what's going on there."
His analysis wasn't that far off because Minaj seemed to confirm his suspicions on Twitter shortly after by tweeting: Ha! Thank you for understanding my creative humor & sarcasm Mr. President, the smart ones always do... *sends love & support* @BarackObama.

Rihanna Returns To Los Angeles
After a long day of traveling, Rihanna was spotted arriving at LAX airport in Los Angeles on Monday (September 10).
Making her way in town from London, the 24-year-old singer rocked an all-black ensemble as she quickly made her way through the crowded terminal.
The “Umbrella” singer was overseas to perform at the London Paralympics closing ceremony with Coldplay and Jay-Z.
Amidst the all-star show, Sebastian Coe, chairman of the organizing committee said, “"In this country, we will never think of sport the same way and we will never think of disability the same way. The Paralympians have lifted the cloud of limitation."

It’s been 76 years since a British man has won a Grand Slam in the singles championship, and the 25-year-old athlete almost saw history slip between his fingertips.
Murray ended up pulling through and beating the defending champion Djokovic's comeback bid to win 7-6 (10), 7-5, 2-6, 3-6, 6-2.
''Novak is so, so strong. He fights until the end in every single match,'' he said to the press. ''I don't know how I managed to come through in the end.''
Djokovic was also singing praises for the young victor and said, “I want to congratulate Andy for his first Grand Slam. He absolutely deserves it.”

Well, it seems like it was a Sunday Funday for Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds, as they have finally tied the knot in a surprise wedding. A source confirmed to People Magazine that Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively married today in Mt. Pleasant, SC. A reception followed on a plantation in a white tent and Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine performed three songs live. Congrats to the happy couple!

Project Runway Season 10: Conference Call with Alicia Hardesty
It was another team challenge on Project Runway Season 10 and the designers had to raise their own money in order to buy the fabric to make their two-look cohesive collection. Alicia Hardesty struggled more with keeping her team from falling apart and her looks didn't impress the judges and she was sent home on Project Runway 2012. It was recently reported that Beyoncé was apparently cold as ice to Kim Kardashian while both were in attendance at the Budeweiser Made In America music festival last weekend, which the diva's husband Jay-Z curated.
Now, new details have emerged that explain what exactly went down between the two celebrities.
According to sources, Beyoncé became livid when she realized Kim was using her time at the event to weasel her way into a documentary being filmed by Ron Howard about the Empire State of Mind rapper, and wasted no time sitting the reality starlet down and setting her straight!
