Latest information going round on the murder case leveled against female banker Yinka Johnson accused of running over and killing a LASTMA official with her car, confirms that she along with her two months old baby has been released and cleared from the murder charges.
An eye witnesses at the scene of the accident came forward with a photo and video evidence revealing how a white long bus popularly referred to as Molue in Lagos, ran over the LASTMA official and at that very moment, Yinka's vehicle was impounded by LASTMA officials.
However, the banker would only be penalized for violating lagos traffic law by driving against traffic on a one-way road, an offense she has allegedly admitted to.
This is another sorry tale of false accusation and human rights violation. Unconfirmed information suggests that the female is ready to make a law suit against LASTMA for false accusations. That could possibly land her a lot of money in compensation if the judgement eventually goes her way.
That if done, would serve as a note of warning to LASTMA to always be objective and factual in the course of carryingout their duties. But the question remains, "Hope they would learn from this unfortunate incident".
